Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
In short: we don’t track or save any of your data. PrettyTv does not collect, sell or share any personal data. Your logins are encrypted and stay on your device. No accounts, no analytics, no ads.
1. Who is responsible
Prod AS, Norway, is responsible for the app and this website (“we”). Contact: prettytviptiv@gmail.com.
2. Information stored on your device
To work, the app stores the following only on your own device:
| Information | Why | How it is protected |
|---|---|---|
| Server address, username, password, playlist (M3U) and guide (EPG) links you enter | To load your playlist and TV guide | Encrypted: Android Keystore on Android, Windows DPAPI on Windows, the Keychain on Apple devices, a non-exportable WebCrypto key on TVs and in browsers |
| Channel list and TV guide downloaded from your provider | So the app starts fast | The app’s private storage; the channel list is encrypted because stream links often contain your password |
| Favourites, your own groups, pinned and hidden groups, PIN lock, language, sound and other settings | To remember your choices | The app’s private storage |
| When the free trial started, and the app store’s answer on whether you have PrettyTv Premium (active yes/no, end date if known, prices) | To know whether playback is open, also offline for a while | The app’s private storage. No payment details |
We never receive this information. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, except as described in section 3.
3. Connections the app makes
PrettyTv only connects to:
- The servers you entered — your IPTV provider and any guide (EPG) addresses — to fetch your playlist, guide and video streams. Your login is sent to these servers, because that is how your provider identifies you. Their handling of your data is governed by their privacy policy, not this one.
- The app store, for PrettyTv Premium (the Android app from Google Play and the TV app from Samsung): the app asks Google Play Billing or Samsung Checkout which subscriptions your account has, and purchases happen in the store’s own window. On Samsung TVs the internal ID of your Samsung account (not your name or e-mail) is sent to Samsung’s payment server to look up your purchases. We never see your card number or other payment details. The purchase is handled under Google’s or Samsung’s privacy policy, and from the stores we only receive the standard sales reports every developer gets. The LG, Apple and Windows versions currently have no in-app purchases; if that changes, this policy will be updated first.
- In the Windows app and the browser version, jsDelivr (a public code library service), to load open-source video libraries — but only if the copies included with the app cannot be loaded. Like any web request, this reveals your IP address and basic browser information. No account or identifier is sent.
4. What we do not do
- No user accounts or registration.
- No analytics, tracking, crash reporting, advertising or advertising identifiers.
- No access to your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or files.
- No data is sold or shared with third parties.
In App Store terms: Data Not Collected. In Google Play’s Data safety terms: no data collected or shared by the developer.
5. This website
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver the pages and protect them against abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. If you pick a skin with the Skin button, that choice is saved only in your own browser.
If you e-mail us, we use your e-mail address and message only to answer you, and delete them when they’re no longer needed (at most 12 months after the conversation ends). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering you (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
6. Children
PrettyTv is a general-audience player and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone. Parents can lock groups with a PIN in the app.
7. Your control and deleting your data
- Settings → General → Reset the app deletes all stored logins, playlists, guide data and settings from the device. When the trial started and the store’s Premium answer are kept, so a reset does not start a new trial.
- Uninstalling the app removes everything. For the Windows app, also delete the folder
%APPDATA%\PrettyTv. - We hold no data about you on our side, so there is nothing for us to export or delete — except e-mails you have sent us, which we delete on request.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete personal data about you, and to object to processing. Write to prettytviptiv@gmail.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority — in Norway, Datatilsynet.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published at this address with a new date. Material changes are mentioned in the app’s release notes.
